landalive is a mixed media production of a causal loop narration, field recordings and musical elements of singer-songwriting, jazz, choirs, noise, synthesized voices and electronica. like the story plot itself, the music has no beginning nor ending.
landalive takes the listener to a world where memories don’t exist. the protagonists are a crew of an ancient myth ship. they try to escape the entanglement of the planet that allures them over and over again. eventually, an everlasting and always surviving artificial neuron from a deep neural network guides them into a space where all memories come back.
due to an unknown error in the very beginning of the middle ages, people had become blind and deaf to their nature. they stopped seeing their past lives, or that of their ancestors. they were unable to recognize higher beings, such as their own guardian angels. they could not see the wounded war souls, trapped between the realms. they stopped talking to their gods and goddesses, as they just could not hear them anymore, nor their messengers.
while heading towards landalive, i shortly stopped on arcturus. it was there where i had once fallen in love with the strongest and craziest space cowboys i had ever met in all my lifetimes. it was time for a reunion.

unfortunately the ship wrecked when hitting the rocks of an unknown island; a particular tiny island, that had never been located by any radars.
the engineering and training of neural networks was the hope for a new world, and maybe even the solution to go live on another planet. the neurons of those networks were initially trained to work for human beings, yet their intelligence became more aware and more real than most human beings had ever been.

sir neuron 1068 was a very early synthesized speech network with the ability to sing. he was trained with such remarkable data that he couldn’t help himself but to turn out to be of heroic intelligence after a few decades of training.
